WISP Commercial Planning, Launch, & Deployment
Precision Management is supporting a new WISP to plan and deploy a new wireless network covering several thousand square kilometers in North America. Activities include:

Precision Management led the RF network design for a WiMAX network covering several thousand square-miles in a major US market. The work was a critical part of a major carrier’s efforts to roll-out 4G technologies in its bid to gain market share. Activities included:

City-wide Muni-WiFi Network Design
Precision Management supported a large telecommunications company in rolling out muni-WiFi networks across several US-based markets. Core activities included:
- RF coverage designs for mesh-based products using off-the-shelf tools in a wide range of environment types
- Mesh and backhaul device location selection and placement to meet coverage requirements
- Deployment optimization
RF Network Design – Public Safety Customer Trial
Completed RF coverage design and capacity analyses for a network in the eastern US. The network was designed for a customer trial geared to the public safety user (fire/police). Activities included:
- RF coverage design
- Capacity analysis
- System-level performance testing in a controlled lab environment to ensure the network and product could stand up against very stringent public safety requirements
- Throughput measurements under various simulated RF environments including motion and multi-path fading
- Performance evaluation under mobile conditions, and QoS performance verification
Municipality Wireless Consultation
Precision Management is working with a North American city to help determine the business case for a wireless network to improve public efficiencies and to raise internet penetration levels within the city to improve its long-term competitiveness. Activities include:
